I could probably make a better fountain out of a soda can and some straws, but I guess the texture of the water here wasn't bad.

And why shouldn't New York have a monument for the Irish Potato Famine? Of course it's a tribute to hungry people everywhere, but the important thing is that monument help reminds us how other people go hungry so we don't have to feel bad about being wasteful.

Look both ways

A nice slow day finished with a good Chinese dinner with friends. I prefer to forget the horrible movie watched afterwards.

Lights!

I wonder how much energy it takes to power all these lights for an hour... Kinda makes you think we should just build a back-up sun or something. Might get kinda hot thought I suppose.
